Post Older low mileage Miatas...
Since we've been snowed in now for the last month, I've had some time to lurk the miata.net forums a little more than usual. I know Gram has also been hanging out there a lot too and contributing to some of the threads. I've really been interested in low mileage NAs that have been appearing lately like the one in this thread... http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.ph ... 457&page=4

I dunno about you guys, but I don't think I could ever just buy a car to let it "sit" around and hope it becomes valuable someday. I have a hard enough time leaving mine in the garage until all the salt is finally gone from the roads now! I think the experiences that one gains from "using" a car are much more valuable than the possible profit that might someday be made by just keeping it under wraps for 15 or 20 years. Just my opinion. Let me know what y'all think...

Oh yeah, and Gram also pointed out that there's a red '90 for sale with only 436 miles on Auto Trader...http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?c ... page=thumb

Better check it out Ed!! ;)

Does anyone else feel sorry for that car in the Miata.net post?

It's funny you said that, because although a car isn't an actual "live" thing, I do always feel a little sad that it's spent almost all of it's "life" sitting under a cover in a garage instead of out on the open road. However, I also feel sad for the ones I see that have been neglected, abused, and not appreciated by their owners. I guess that's what separates the car nuts from the car owners... ;)

Yeah, why buy something if you are just going to look at it and not drive it! Dont get me wrong, I dont blame you if you only take it out on warm sunny days, but at least enjoy it a little! If you are goingn to do that, just buy a painting and dont let the poor car suffer!
